Unlike most court buildings, kerta Gosa is made very beautifully. The Klungkung Palace is established by I Dewa Agung Djambe, the first king of Klungkung around 1686. There is a Semarajaya Museum located on the right side of the Kori Agung courtyard. We can discover the ancient objects (pre-history), historical objects included the photographs documentation from the descendants of Klungkung King.
There are two main buildings in this park; Bale Kambang and Bale Kerta Gosa. Bale Kambang is a building that stands above a pond. This pond is called Taman Gili. On the Bale Kambang ceiling there is a puppet painting that tells about the Swarga Loka Parwa and Parwa Bima Swarga a guide punishment Karma Phala (result of the good-bad deeds performed during a human lifetime) and the re-incarnation into the world because of the deeds.
It shows the cultural richness of the Balinese people, especially in the field of architecture. After the Kingdom of Klungkung was no longer in power, Kerta Gosa began to switch functions. Along with the progress of tourism, Kerta Gosa is now a popular tourist destination in East Bali.
